ARTS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

Bringing the magic of opera to students

Since 1949, Guild Opera Company has introduced more than four million children to the magical world of opera. With the generous support of individual music lovers, as well as funding from corporations, foundations and government sources, we help students from kindergarten through grade 6 experience and engage with the one artform that encompasses music, theater, dance and visual arts: opera!

Help children participate in the arts!

Bring opera to your school

Want to bring an arts education program to your school, one that includes music, theater, dance, visual arts, and history? Then opera is your ticket.

AWARDED LA COUNTY OGP GRANT

The Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture has awarded Guild Opera Company a two-year grant from their Organizational Grant Program to help fund sustainability in our opera programs serving both our children and community outreach performances.

Serving all five of the LA County Supervisory Districts, Guild Opera reaches deep into all areas of the county to provide affordable high-quality opera experiences.

Highlights from past shows

Guild Opera Company is the second oldest opera company in California after the San Francisco Opera. Since 1949 Guild Opera Company has been one of the launching companies for famous artists such as Marilyn Horne, Heinz Blankenburg, and Mary Costa, the voice of Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty.

Guild Opera Company introduces opera to the community and strongly believes in creating opportunities for young up-and-coming talent to gain experience and perform in fully stage opera productions with professional singers.

Help Children Participate in the Arts
