GOC is Awarded Grant & Contract as a LAUSD Arts Provider
Guild Opera Company is excited to announce that the Los Angeles Unified School District has chosen us to be a participant in their Arts Community Network Program for the 2020-2021 school year. This highly coveted distinction allows Guild Opera Company to be listed as a recommended arts provider to elementary schools that receive funds to expand arts experiences to schools otherwise underserved in arts exposure. Our four student-centered performances and workshops give a varied selection of standards-based learning experiences in the art of opera to inspire student creativity. Schools will be able to choose from Guild Opera’s four in-school shows, Alice in Wonderland, Estrella, Little Red Riding Hood and Wade in the Water. We look forward to the furthering of our mission and to bringing the wonderful and beautiful world of opera to local elementary schools.
Please visit our programs page for more information about Guild Opera’s school shows!
ANNOUNCEMENT
Covid-19 Statement
Guild Opera Co. as many other arts organizations, has implemented steps to reduce the risks brought on by the coronavirus pandemic which we all are now facing. With everyone’s safety on our minds, we will be presenting performances this season in a different format, using online venues. Guild Opera Co. continues its 71st season presenting highlights of our four traveling shows, to elementary schools and our supporters online. Our mission includes giving opportunity to up-and-coming singers and established artists in our community.
We were in the middle of rehearsing Mozart’s beautiful and hilarious Cosi fan tutte when the COVID virus struck. We had no choice but to suspend operations. As soon as possible we will resume rehearsing and let you know when and where you may see and hear our productions.
Guild Opera Co. is grateful to those who have continued to support us in our mission. We encourage you to make donations, whether by clicking “Donate Today” below, or through the mail at P.O. Box 4582, Glendale, CA 91222-0582. Phone (323) 463-6593.
Thank you so much.

San Marino Rotary On The Town Red Carpet Event
The theme of the evening was “One Good Deed Deserves Another”. Through the generous support of Liz and Dennis Kneier, Attendees were able to enjoy entertainment from professional artists who support the mission of Guild Opera Company. Because of this support all the proceeds were donated to charity to fund future Community events. Compelled by this act of generosity, Aaron & Valerie Weiss generously offered the Flying A Garage to host this charitable event. Providing the attendees and singers a gorgeous back drop of pre-WWll historical automobiles. Thursday’s event was the most attended Rotary on the Town since its inception in 2006, over 100+ attendees. Attendees included, Mayor Eugene Sun, Ken Veronda Headmaster at Southwestern Academy, Aaron & Valerie Weiss, John Shafer City manager, Former Chief of Police Tim Harrigan, Councilman Steve Talt, The Sardo Family, & Lucille Norberg.
